LAKEWOOD CREEK HSO MEETING MINUTES     April 12, 2018

 

Board Members in Attendance:  Gina Garza-President, Kertrina Opperman Justice-Vice President, Mary Wilson-Recording Secretary

 

Meeting called to order by Gina Garza at 7:02pm.  

Minutes Approval:  Jamie second by Doug

Principal's Report:  No school tomorrow.  Monday starts the Starr Testing and SE assessments.  Last week of May is Sailabration on May 23 from 9:00-11:00 and the 24th is field day rain or shine.  There is no drop off in the staging area. Senior walk for past LC students will be on Friday May 18th at 2:00.

Board News:  Open committees are available, if stepping down turn in your binder.  We will have volunteer appreciation next meeting. We are missing merchandise, please let us know if you have taken anything.  We are also missing our tables. We also bought the TA’s and the front office lunch.

Betsy: Election, Jamie is corresponding secretary, V.P. is Becky, Treasurer is Mary, and Recording Secretary is to be appointed.  

Old Business:  Breakfast 4/8 will be 4th grade and 5th grade will be on 5/23 before Sailbration

Book Fair:  It was great, lots of traffic.  We will need more volunteers esp during the day.  Should we send signup genius to everyone?

Skate Night:  Not many attended but we made $45.

Fun Fair:  It's over!  Short on volunteer but it went very smoothly.  We have 400-500 at least. We made $131 from Dicks Donuts and Kona Ice was great.  St. Annes was great for kids volunteering. Tickets brought in $2389 and raffles was $1421.  Where does the money go.

Pencil Grams:  Doing great

Box Tops:  Steady, 1,000 for March, we should be getting a check at the end of April for $549.  Schultz won with 306.

Restaurant Nights:  Portillos brought in $353 and Rosati's brought in $49.06.  Woods won. Tomorrow is family night at Fore Family fun with 20% coming back.

Yearbook:  Finally done.  Will be in the second week of May and we only have 75 copies left.

Daddy Daughter:  ¾ done.  Dickson farms is loaning us hay.  We will have smores outside ad a lemonade stand.  It is from 6-8

New Business:

Teacher Appreciation:  Daily treat, we need to increase committee size.  What does the staff want? We will be requesting donations.  It is the first week of May 7-11th.

5th Grade Celebration:  May 23rd, more to come.  Sailabration is not a field day.

Volunteer Appreciation: Please send volunteer list in.  We will cater with food. We will before the meeting at 6:30 on May 3rd.  

Budget:  New budget released.  Changes are noted. Doug motioned and Becky seconded.  Passes
